This section contains information about who is liable for any eye surgery, which you may access through the services advertised on our website. Please read this carefully to confirm that you understand and accept these terms.
Eyecare Travel Limited (Eyecare Travel) is a company registered in England and Wales, with company number 1384633, whose registered office is at 20 – 22 Wenlock Road, London N1 7GU.
Eyecare Travel is the owner and operator of the website www.eyecare-travel.com. The information on the website, is general in nature. It is not medical advice, nor should it be used as a substitute for medical advice.
Eyecare Travel provides information about LASIK and Lens Replacement eye surgeries that are available at a clinic/s in Greece but it makes no representation and assumes no responsibility for the accuracy of the information or the suitability of any surgeries referred to on our website.
When you sign up with Eyecare Travel, we will forward your details to the clinic or clinics in Greece.
We are also able to help by supplying you with general information about travel and accommodation options in Greece.
We may also assist you by forwarding your medical records to the clinic or clinics, but please note, we are not medically qualified or able to give medical advice.
Eyecare Travel acts as an introducer only, for which the clinic/s pays Eyecare Travel and introducer’s fee. If you proceed with any eyecare surgery, you will enter into a separate agreement with the clinic or clinics in Greece, who are therefore liable for the treatment you receive. You should ensure that you read the terms of that contract carefully before signing and in particular you should note that the services provided by the Greek clinic/s may be subject to different laws and jurisdictions, to the UK.
The clinic/s will conduct an assessment, when you arrive in Greece to confirm whether you are a suitable candidate for the surgery you have selected. It is possible that they may determine, you should not have the treatment, in which case, neither Eyecare Travel nor the clinic/s are liable for any costs associated with your trip to Greece.
All information on the website is provided “as is”. You should carry out your own checks on any of the procedures and/or third parties that we may refer to on our website.
Eyecare Travel accepts no liability for the following:-
The suitability or quality of the surgery, the surgeon or the clinic;
Any of the travel options or accommodations that we refer to.
The services provided by Eyecare Travel are governed by the laws of England and Wales and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
We will gather certain personal data about you, if you use our service, including sensitive personal data. We will handle this data in accordance with our privacy policy, which is available on our website.
By contacting us and agreeing to proceed with the operation, you accept, agree and confirm as follows:
You have conducted your own research into the surgeries available, the surgeon and the clinic/s and have satisfied yourself that you wish to proceed;
You understand that there is a possibility that when you get to the clinic, the surgeon may conclude that you are not a suitable candidate for the surgery. If the surgery does not proceed, you confirm that you understand you will not be able to hold either Eyecare Travel, the surgeon, or the clinic for any costs you have incurred.
Travel to Greece shall be at your own risk and you should take out relevant insurance to cover you against the surgery and any consequences of the surgery.
You agree that Eyecare Travel will not be liable for any injury, loss, damage, claim, costs, expenses or demands suffered directly or indirectly by you as a consequence of the surgery, provided that this would not exclude any relevant person’s liability for personal injury or death caused by its negligence
